Angel of the North

The Angel of the North was designed by Antony Gormley and has been a tourist attraction in Gateshead since 2008.

It is Britain’s largest sculpture with a height of 20m, wingspan of 54m and weight of 200 tons, attracting over 150,000 visitors a year, it is now one of the most popular attractions in Newcastle and Gateshead.
