The course starts in Newcastle, taking in the iconic Tyne Bridge, carries on through Gateshead passing the international stadium and finishes in the coastal town of South Shields. There is Live music, on course refreshments and thousands of cheering supporters to keep you motivated every inch of the way.
The Bupa Great North Run has made itself part of the cultural fabric of the North East, touches lives across the UK and throughout the world with funds raised for charity through sponsorship, with last year’s event seeing runners from over 40 different countries participating.
